Hello,
The Resource Monitor is a tool for displaying information, in real time and in greater detail than the Task Manager, about the use of hardware resources by processes:
- Processor
- Memory
- Disk
- Network
For example, it allows you to:
- Identify which programs are most active in reading/writing on hard disks.
- Identify which programs use the processor the most.
- Identify which program is accessing the file you want to delete.
- Identify which programs are using or reserving the most memory.
- Interact with processes or services.
- Identify which processes use the most network bandwidth.
- Identify processes connected to the internet.
- Identify listening processes (configured in server mode on the network).
To launch the resource monitor:
- Type:
resmon
- Type:
perfmon /res
- Via the task manager, in the performance tab.
- By performing a search on monitor or resource in Windows.
